Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Gerda Muller Once upon a time, there were three bears who lived in a cozy little cottage in the woods. There was Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. One day, while the bears were out for a walk, a little girl named Goldilocks stumbled upon their cottage. Curious, Goldilocks peeked inside and saw three steaming bowls of porridge sitting on the table. She was hungry from her long walk in the woods, so she decided to help herself. She tasted Papa Bear's porridge, but it was too hot. Then she tried Mama Bear's porridge, but it was too cold. Finally, she tasted Baby Bear's porridge, and it was just right. Goldilocks ate it all up. Next, Goldilocks saw three chairs lined up in the living room. She sat in Papa Bear's chair, but it was too hard. Then she tried Mama Bear's chair, but it was too soft. Finally, she sat in Baby Bear's chair, and it was just right. But as she rocked back and forth, the chair broke beneath her. Feeling tired from her adventures, Goldilocks spotted three beds in the bedroom. She lay down on Papa Bear's bed, but it was too firm. Then she tried Mama Bear's bed, but it was too soft. Finally, she lay down on Baby Bear's bed, and it was just right. Goldilocks fell asleep in the cozy bed. When the bears returned home, they were surprised to find their cottage in disarray. Papa Bear roared in anger, Mama Bear sighed in disappointment, and Baby Bear started to cry. But then they heard a gentle snore coming from the bedroom. Curious, the bears tiptoed into the bedroom and found Goldilocks sleeping soundly in Baby Bear's bed. They woke her up gently, and Goldilocks apologized for her intrusion. The bears forgave her, and they all shared a delicious meal of porridge. From that day on, Goldilocks and the Three Bears became friends, and they lived happily ever after.
