Born in Australia in 1963, A.J. Mackinnon developed a fondness for slow travel from a young age, journeying on P&O liners between Australia and England. He embarked on his teaching career in 1984 and has since imparted his enthusiasm for English Literature, mathematics, drama, art, and philosophy to numerous students across several international schools. Mackinnon resides in the Victorian High Country of Australia, where he continues to teach while also indulging in his love for gardening and various creative projects. He has penned the international bestsellers, The Unlikely Voyage of Jack de Crow and The Well at the World's End, and is currently working on his next book, Quaint Deeds.
