Looking to introduce your little one to the wonderful world of books and storytelling in a way that's both fun and educational? Look no further. 

Finding ways to fill your days with a baby or toddler can be tricky. Our storytime sessions at Red Kangaroo Books bookshop are the perfect activity—and they’re completely free! 

Mark your calendars from March 20th to June 12th, 2024, as we host twelve kid-friendly story-time sessions every Wednesday, from 10 am to 11 am at Red Kangaroo Books bookstore at 45 Todd Mall, Mparntwe/Alice Springs.

Meet Marg Simonetto

Led by the incredible Marg Simonetto, these sessions promise to ignite imaginations and foster a love for reading in children aged 1-5 years. 

Marg Simonetto has over 30 years as an Early Childhood teacher and has also served as a teacher-librarian. She loves introducing young children to the wonder books and watching their reactions to stories. And, for parents, she can also chat with you about the merits of various books. Marg is an active member of the Northern Territory branch of the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

Our story time lineup features a variety of children's books that are sure to inspire young minds. From timeless classics to contemporary favourites, each session offers something new and exciting for children (and parents) alike.
