Iwenhe Arratintyeme Ingwele? (What Comes Out at Night?) Book (Arrernte and English)
This Arrernte language book aims to teach children about the rhythms and patterns of country, featuring beautiful illustrations of the animals and landscapes of Central Australia. It is written in Arrernte with English translations.
Senior and emerging Arrernte Educators wrote and illustrated ‘Iwenhe Arratintyeme Ingwele?’ as an important cultural education tool, saying: “We know the land is alive and rich with knowledge. Country is our education system – it teaches and guides us. We are making these books to pass all this knowledge to our children.”
